Design: Max Kobiela
Plum is a collection of armchairs in which traditional nineteenth-century technology has been closed in a minimalist, contemporary form. A characteristic element of the collection is the bent structural frame, which also serves as legs, armrests and backrest. Completely bent from one element of beech wood, it emphasizes craftsmanship and technological possibilities of steamed bent wood. The Plum collection consists of three versions: openwork, bucket and club. The openwork plum consists of only 4 elements: a main frame, two legs and a seat. The openwork version is linear purity and lightness of form. The armchair in this version has definitely a graphic, expressive character.
